October 2008 fishing report
Those of you who were and are hardy enough to stand the change in weather have been rewarded with plenty of action. The scenery has been spectacular and so has the action. The Northerns have been very active all over the lake. Trolling or casting has proven very effective. Walleye are producing good numbers at present. Trolling seem to work best. The slower the better. Gills and perch are slow and hard to find. They will pickup around first ice. Crappies, well what can I say, It's been a fantastic year for them and they are still biting. Our guests this weekend had a great time catching them. They are small to medium in size, but the action is great. My next entry will be around first ice when Tony{the guide dog} lets me know whats happening. Until the, Keep your lines wet!!
