ABOUT THE BIRCHWOOD AREA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

Overview:

The Birchwood Area Chamber of Commerce was formed in 2009 when the Birchwood Area Lakes Association merged with the then Birchwood Chamber of Commerce. The resulting organization represents nearly 50 area businesses and non-profits located in Birchwood and the surrounding area. Our primary focus is on promotion of member businesses through this website, social media and advertising. The Birchwood Area Chamber of Commerce also promotes the community through special events, including the Bluegill Festival, August Woodcrafters' show, a big September area-wide garage sale and our December Community Christmas Festival. 
 

The Chamber also supports the community with funds raised through meat raffles at member businesses. Recent meat raffle event hosts include the American Legion, Bear Tracks and Paul's Pizza Den.

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

 

The Birchwood Area Chamber of Commerce, Inc. is a private, not for profit organization for business and professional people.  It is dedicated to providing leadership for the promotion and advancement of economic vitality of the community, fostering development of new businesses, strengthening the business climate and promoting tourism and recreation in the Birchwood area and surrounding communities.

Chamber Board Meetings

The Board of Directors meets each month from September through May. Chamber members and prospective members are encouraged to attend and participate in meetings. For information on the next meeting (date/time/location) please email BirchwoodWI@gmail.com. We also welcome presentations on topics relevant to the community, business development and tourism. If you'd like to present to the Chamber, please email us.

 

Donation Requests

The Chamber is sometimes asked to donate to community or organization-related causes. We review donation requests during regularly scheduled Board Meetings. Our bylaws require that all expenditures be tied to promoting tourism and business growth. If your organization wishes to request a donation, email the Board at BirchwoodWI@gmail.com. You'll be invited to attend our next meeting, where you can share information about your cause and how funds would be used.  Thank you!
